Arsenal linked with £63 million Manchester City star

As Man City prepare a huge summer of transfers, it is thought that a number of their top stars could be on their way out.

City have been linked with moves for Harry Kane and Jack Grealish this summer, but if they are to complete that huge double signing, they will need to clear some space and funds.

Sterling, Jesus, Mahrez and now Bernardo Silva are some of the big names that are apparently available for transfer this summer.

According to Transfer Checker, Arsenal are one of the teams interested in Bernardo Silva.

Arteta had a great relationship with the Portuguese magician while at City, however, due to the emergence of Phil Foden last season, Silva doesn’t seem to be as integral to City as he was a couple of years ago.

However, any deal for the 26-year-old would not come easy and would not come cheap. He has a market value of £63 million, but would reportedly cost between £50-60 million.

I’m undecided on this deal. If we do turn around and sign him, trust me I would be far from disappointed. But, I am still hoping that Maddison is the man. I think with Silva turning 27 in August, £65 million for Maddison is better business than £55 million for Silva.

Alternatively, should we look even cheaper than that? Matheus Pereira, who had a stellar season in a mediocre West Brom side, could be available for less than £20 million. He is stylistically similar to Silva, but arguably has a better end product AND is only 24.
