Aston Villa bid £25 million for Emile Smith Rowe

There was talk a few weeks ago that Aston Villa had an interest in Smith Rowe, which at the time I just dismissed as agent talk.

Well, it appears that this interest has become a lot more concrete as Aston Villa reportedly launched a £25 million bid for our star boy.

It is thought that Villa were trying to capitalise on the gradual contract talks between Smith Rowe and Arsenal. The player has just 2 years left on his deal.

However, luckily Arsenal firmly rejected that bid and according to many reports, have no intention of selling. We are still very confident of extending his deal, so I don’t think there is anything to worry about.

Arteta was the man who properly phased him into the first team and has trusted him in some huge moments of last season; he will do whatever it takes to keep him at the club.
