Former Arsenal target available for just £15 million this summer

During the January transfer window, Arsenal pursued a number of options before eventually deciding that Martin Odegaard on loan was the best option.

One of the names we were linked with was RB Leipzig’s talisman Marcel Sabitzer. Back in January, it seemed that a move was unlikely as the 27 year old was at that time likely to cost north of £30 million.

According to The Athletic, Sabitzer has told his club that he wants to pursue a new challenge next season and move on, having spent 6 years at the club. With just 12 months left on his current deal, he could cost as little as £15 million.

This seems like an absolute no brainer. Just pay it no hesitation. He is at a good age, he has plenty of experience and brings end product to the team! Our midfield really struggled with end product last season and Sabitzer got 8 goals and 3 assists in the league last season, despite often being played in a deeper lying role.

He could play behind the striker or even slightly deeper next to Thomas Partey. Whilst I think most of our signings should be somewhere around the age of 23, if a player of this quality is available for so cheap, he has to be signed.
