Arsenal have been linked with a number of dynamic midfielders to put next to Thomas Partey next season.

The most recent name added to that shortlist is Anderlecht’s young star, Albert Sambi Lokonga.

The 21 year old has been seriously impressive in Belgium and has now been linked with a move to a a big European club.

Arsenal fans on Twitter have been responding really well to the news as well.

Some have reported that the deal could cost anywhere between £13-17 million. Nieuwsblad, a Belgian outlet, seemed to suggest that €15-20 million should be the highest attainable price.

I will admit that until recently I had not heard of him. However, his numbers look good and his profile fits our team. What I would say though is that if we sign him and sell Xhaka, we will need another DM to come in. Someone like Bissouma who is used to the Premier League. Lokonga looks really promising, but we would be naive to start next season with him as our only option to go next to Partey.
