Arsenal could use £20 million youngster in Yves Bissouma deal

In this transfer window, some clubs will have really obvious areas for improvement.

For example, Arsenal need to find a dynamic midfield partner to play next to Thomas Partey next season, and in that sense we have identified Brighton’s Yves Bissouma as a potential target.

Meanwhile, Brighton drastically under-performed compared to their xG. Neil Maupay, Danny Welbeck and Aaron Connolly all had really poor campaigns and none of them were able to outperform their xG this season. The volume of missed chances nearly saw Brighton fall into a relegation scrap. Potter will be keen to sign a striker this summer to ensure that the same does not happen next season.

One name Brighton have been linked with is our very own Eddie Nketiah. The 21-year-old has just 12 months left on his contract, and despite showing signs of real potential and a clinical nature, he has really struggled for game time this season.

Brighton reporter Aden Jay Wood has reported that Brighton are among several clubs interested in Nketiah and that a player plus cash deal for Bissouma could be on the cards.

It is unclear what Arsenal’s intentions are regarding Bissouma and Nketiah, but some reports suggest that one way or another, Nketiah will be leaving the club this summer and Arsenal will demand £20 million for his signature.
