Arsenal linked with £50 million 22-year-old centre back

The Athletic have recently reported that the right sided centre back position, where the likes of David Luiz, Holding and potentially Saliba play, remains a position of priority going into this summer transfer window.

One option that David Ornstein has confirmed Arsenal are interested in is Jules Kounde. The 22-year-old french centre back has had a great season with Sevilla and has attracted the interest of a number of clubs.

With that in mind, it is also likely that it will be a very tricky deal to get over the line.

Not only is the 22-year-old likely to command a fee in the region of £50 million, Arsenal will also have to compete in terms of a salary offer with a number of top clubs. With our lack of European football next season, to convince Kounde to join us will require a very handsome wage offer.

This one is still just a rumour and there is nothing concrete, and there remain a number of sales that we need to make first.

That being said, would you like to see Kounde at the Emirates next season?
