Confirmed: Lineup for Arsenal’s final Europa League group stage game

Arsenal take on Dundalk F.C. in Ireland for the final game of the Europa League group stage, having already confirmed first place. The goal will be to end the group stage with a perfect 100% win record, which would make Arsenal the only club to do so in Europe this season.

The starting lineup has been announced with kick-off just moments away….

Arsenal fans will be pleased to see Emil Smith Rowe finally getting a start, after impressing against Molde and scoring the fourth goal against Rapid Wien at home. One can never be sure of the formation, but here’s what we do know:

Runarsson, Chambers, Mustafi, Mari, Cedric, Elneny, Willock, Maitland-Niles, Smith Rowe, Pepe, Nketiah

Subs: Macey, Hein, Saka, Ceballos, Holding, Balogun, Cottrell, Azeez (a bunch of new names likely to be given their Arsenal debuts today!)

Runarsson is in goal as expected, with a back four (?) of Chambers, Mustafi, Mari, and Cedric. That means the midfield consists of Elneny, Willock, and Maitland-Niles. Nketiah will play up top with Pepe and Smith-Rowe on either wing.

It’s also possible we have a back five, with Maitland-Niles taking the left-back position. That wasn’t the case in the last game against Rapid Wien, though.
