Two updates today on perhaps Arsenal’s two most important transfer approaches ahead of the January window.
First, The AFC Bell, who first broke major Thomas Partey updates and are considered reliable across Twitter, have an update on Dominik Szoboszlai. Arsenal need to make an approach soon, or the Hungarian is likely to head to RB Leipzig who have made the most advances so far. However, The AFC Bell is optimistic that an approach will be well-received by the player’s camp, who are already appreciative of Arsenal’s interest and waiting for more offers besides Leipzig’s. You can see that thread here, although it will require you to hit ‘translate from Arabic’:
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been linked with Norwich’s star attacking midfielder, Emi Buendia (23), who was very impressive in the Premier League last season despite his club being relegated.
We are now hearing, from the Daily Mail, that there will be a £25 million asking price for the player. Norwich’s manager was reluctant to reveal any more, although he is well aware that this saga will pick up in January. We have heard that Arteta is an admirer of the player and is considering a move.
The way it’s looking right now, Arsenal need to act quickly if they are going to land Dominik Szoboszlai, who seems to be the higher-priority target among the two options. So, a decision will need to be made quickly, and Buendia could be the back up if things don’t work out or Arsenal are too slow.
