Top source – Szoboszlai future could be decided in 2 weeks

If you’ve been following transfer news this year, you are likely to know how reliable Fabrizio Romano is. With the famous “here we go”, he has confirmed a number of transfers shortly before they have been made official. Today, Arsenal fans, who would have been desperately waiting for some good news, will be happy to hear that Romano has commented on the future of Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungary and Salzburg attacking midfielder only recently turned 20 but will be on the radar of a number of top clubs as January approaches. However, the club that seems to need him the most is Arsenal, who are seriously lacking creativity. And, if Arsenal are prioritizing his signing as we have been led to believe, then they will have to pay a €25 million release clause. The more challenging part, however, will be convincing him that he should pick Arsenal over all other suitors.

Here’s what Romano had to say on a podcast today:

“{Arsenal} have an eye on the situation on Szoboszlai… I am sure that this player is moving in January so we will talk about him. I think in 2 weeks we’ll understand where he is going… he has a release clause of €25m.”

The other teams in the equation include Milan, RB Leipzig, and more.

Will we have a “here we go” in two weeks? Unlikely, given it’ll be mid-December in the middle of a packed fixture list. But we could have a much clearer picture and something big to look forward to in January.
