Arsenal receive boost with January transfer target set to move

Owing to Arsenal’s glaring lack of creativity and goal threat this season, the Gunners have reportedly been hot on the heels of one of Europe’s most exciting young talents; Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai. Today the Gunners have received a huge boost in the race for his signature following comments from Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch.

Marsch told Fubtol Podcast that “the reality is that a guy like Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to have many suitors this winter”. He went on to proclaim that he would actually love a big money move for the youngster and implying that this transfer would make him proud. Marsch said that he “would be surprised if he ended up staying past this winter”.

Talks between Edu and the Salzburg board were reportedly confirmed by Gazzetta dello Sport, with the Hungarian said to have a release clause of just £22.5 million this January.

Edu will be surely overjoyed that he has now been given the green light to land one of his top transfer targets. Now what remains to be seen is whether Arsenal have the funds to pull of the move and whether Edu and Arteta will convince Dominik that Arsenal is the perfect project for him.

It would certainly be a tremendously exciting signing for Arsenal fans, who are no doubt enthused at the prospect of a future attack of Saka, Martinelli, Pepe and Szoboszlai behind them. With this signing, Arsenal may well boast arguably the best group of young players in the Premier League.
