Team News ahead of Molde clash

After taking down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s current team Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, Arsenal return to European action as they host Solskjaer’s former team Molde at the Emirates.

Arsenal’s defence had been laid bare due to injuries in recent weeks, but Rob Holding returned against United and, now David Luiz is back in full training and available for selection.

Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, and Gabriel Martinelli are long term absentees. Chambers, who has been out since the end of last year, is now in full training. Mari is expected to be available by the end of November. Martinelli has also started light training but will need more time to be back in full training.

Arteta will rotate his squad, which means more playing time for fringe players like Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and Cedric Soares. But with one eye on early qualification through the group stages, some senior players like Pepe and Xhaka might be a part of it.

Alex Runarsson, who had a wonderful debut in the last game, is expected to continue between the sticks as Bernd Leno takes a breather.
