This summer transfer window is still very much uncertain. However, one thing can be said for sure; it is going to be a transfer window full of scraps, especially for financially-struggling clubs such as Arsenal. Fans should not expect any blockbuster moves to go ahead, however, there are still plenty of money-saving options.
One of this being to dabble into the free-agent market, of which there are many great names. These include Layvin Kurzawa, Willian and Ryan Fraser; three players with which Arsenal are already being linked. And according to a new report from The Mirror, the Gunners have been given a massive boost in their pursuit of Fraser this summer.
The English outlet claims that the Bournemouth winger has signed a deal with the same management company as Mikel Arteta. What this means remains to be seen, however, fans are jumping to the conclusion that this could sway Fraser towards an Arsenal move since there is already common ground there.
Although, the Gunners must appreciate that they will face competition from, you guessed it, Tottenham. That said, they will have to do more than just a management company coincidence to convince Fraser to join, and I am talking about spending the big bucks on his wages.
This shouldn’t be too much of a problem, of course, as the money the board has saved on his fee can be put into his wages, however, they will still want to save money wherever possible, since the installment for Nicolas Pepe is due at the start of the season.
Fraser is a creative wide-player who has spent many seasons developing at Bournemouth and being a crucial part to their success. It’s this kind of experience which Arsenal need, because the way the players’ attitudes are at times, they’re lucky to be in the position they’re in.
